Book Depository Experience – Worldwide

Hello! Good morning/evening beautiful people 💖💖
Today’s blog post is about my experience in purchasing from the famous bookstore Book Depository.
(Comment down below if you want me to write another post explaining how to sign up and order from Book Depository).

About Book Depository:

It’s a UK and Australian based, owned by Amazon
It has more than 18 MILLION books with affordable prices
They ship to more than 100 countries for FREE!!

Payment Methods:

You can pay with your Debit Card, Visa Card, Master Card, American Express, PayPal -my personal favorite way- and Delta, Electron and Maestro Card.

Shipping Method:

Its free so there’s no tracking number. It takes from 5 to 15 days and sometimes more!
In my case, it took 3 weeks to arrive.

My Book Depository Experience:

I got excited because it had free shipping and the books are so cheap!! You can barely find a site that ship books worldwide for free and bookstores are kinda expensive where I live.
Also, the site supported Ebates and with each order, I get %2.5 of my order’s amount.

In the beginning, I ordered two books and shipped them to my Saudi address “I didn’t have P.O Box”. They got shipped on 15/11/2017 two days after placing my order.

On 22/12/2017 I reached to customer service because my order didn’t arrive! It took them two to three days to tell me (You can’t ship to Saudi Arabia without a P.O Box, your order won’t arrive.)
They were nice and offered to replace my order for free and asked me to give them another address

They shipped my order to my brother’s address on 28/12/2017
On 17/1/2018 I got back to them asking for a refund, I thought my order got lost in the mail -I have no patience lol-, the employee asked me to wait and surprisingly the books arrived the next day.

P.s: each book will be shipped separately, not together to save time and hoping it won’t get lost in the mail.
*Also, one thing I noticed about the prices is that they go up and down sometimes and I can’t tell why! so there might be some differences when you open the links*

The Books I’ve Ordered:

Target Band 7: IELTS Academic Module – How to Maximize Your Score:

Target band 7 Ielts book by Simone Braverman

The book was for IELTS preparation
It includes some tips, info
, and strategies on how to study on your own in few weeks (There’s no deep examples and exercises).
Price: $23.42
I couldn’t find it anywhere in Saudi so I had to get it.

The Wicked + The Divine Volume 1:

The Wicked + The Divine comic book Vol 1

I started reading “non-superheroes” comic books and this is the first one that I picked because of the diversity of the characters and the amazing artwork.
Price: $12.50

On 19/2 I decided to place an order again and I got them on 1/3
I purchased one book and several comic-books related to the show Orphan Black.

You Are a Badass:

You are a badass by Jen Sincero book

I don’t how to describe this book, but I just LOVE IT. I know all Self-Help books sound like they’re the same, but I love them because you can sometimes get a little advice and help, but mostly I laugh at how rich and privileged the writer is and how they expect you to be just like them also their nonsense motto (You can do it if you really want it!) it makes me roll my eyes so hard 🙄

To be honest, I loved some chapters in the book I don’t hate it.

Price in Saudi: $23
Price on Book Depository: $11.32

Orphan Black:

Orphan Black comic book

I’m in love with everything about this show so when I heard about all the new comic books I got really excited, but this one was a huge disappointment. The artwork was just bad -sad. I was excited about it-
(I don’t recommend it if you’ve never watched the show, it’s very confusing.)
Price: $20
(to find the book on Amazon: click here)

Orphan Black: Helsinki:

Orphan Black: Helsinki comic book

Helsinki. ah! that cursed word on the show, it explores MK’s relationship with Niki and some other clones we never got to see on the show, but still kinda boring
Price: $19.96
(to find the book on Amazon: click here)

Orphan Black: Deviations:

Orphan Black: Deviations comic book

Another Orphan Black comic-book!! This one is different, it takes a place in a world where Sarah managed to save Beth
Price: $19.73
(to find the book on Amazon: click here)

Orphan Black Classified Clone Report: The Secret Files of Dr. Delphine Cormier:

Orphan Black Classified Clone Reports the secret files of DR. Delphine Cormier

Honestly, I’m sort of obsessed with Dr. Delphine Cormier (and Evelyne Brochu) so I couldn’t resist getting this one too!! even though it was pricey! It’s not a comic book, it’s her reports about the clones and I loved seeing them from her own perspective.
Price: $45 *YIKES*
(to find the book on Amazon: click here)

Finally, I loved the site a lot because of the amazing prices and the variety of the books (things are more expensive here)
If you want to order from Book Depository I highly recommend it if you have a P.O Box and not in a hurry at all

If you have any questions about the site, please don’t hesitate and write them in comments 💖💖
